Choosing place of residence is one of the most complex and crucial decisions in a person’s life and even more if it is a family with kids. Sant Cugat City, a big town transformed in a small city with most of the amenities that a great metropolis like Barcelona can offer, has become over the years in a prime residential area. 15 minutes from the Catalan capital and located in the heart of Collserola Natural Park and the Valles’plains, it offers a high lifestyle because of all amenities and services it provides. In fact, a recent survey says that 90% of its 83 thousand inhabitants are fully satisfied with their life in the city.

Despite being a young city, Sant Cugat del Vallés has a remarkable historical centre formed by pedestrian shopping streets giving life to the city and surrounding the well-known Monastery dating from the 9th Century. But shopping doesn’t finish here; there is the Sant Cugat Centre Mall on the outskirts which has cinemas, shops and many leisure options for children. For adults are noteworthy cultural events that take place at venues such as the Auditorium Theatre and the House of Culture in the town center, which offers series of concerts, operas and theater throughout the year.

All those keen on sports will find in Sant Cugat a perfect place to settle down. The city has all kind of sport facilities; from basketball and football clubs to hiking and a golf course with 100 years of history! Besides, we must highlight the High Efficency Center (CAR) where young elite athletes from various disciplines live in order to improve and prepare themselves to a professional an international level, most of them for the Olympic Games. However, if you want to exercise outdoors, the city has large green areas and parks where you can practice running and cycling.

Families with children or those who want to start a family in Sant Cugat don’t have to be distressed by their children’s education.  The primary and higher education offer is wide and of high quality. It is one of the facts that make the city with the higher number of births in Spain.  A prime city like this could not have best schools such as these excellent and international ones: the Japanese Cultural private foundation, the Sephardic Hatikva school, Viaró, Europa, Thau, Sil, Proa o La Farga; without forgetting the prestigious higher education in institutions as: ESADE-Creapolis, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and the Autonomous University of Bellaterra (UAB) which is just a few minutes from there.

We also must point out that Sant Cugat has become a major business center where important  multinationals such as HP, RICOH, Sharp, Banco Sabadell,… have established their head quarters as well as the Valles Technology Park has developed. On top of that,   the city is part of the famous Innovation Triangle of Catalonia (CIT), what they call “the door to Europe” because of its strategic location and first class communication by land, air and water from other countries.

It is clear that in this residential city there is no lack of services or commodities of any top city. Furthermore, the closeness to Barcelona and the ease to get there by public transport is also an advantage that other places don’t have at all, thus turning it into a unique location. We can assure it meets all the requirements for being the best place to live your own lifestyle without giving up anything.

Come to Sant Cugat, we’re waiting for you!
