In the centre of the town of Pals, Baix Empordà, only 3 kilometres from the beach, which has kept it preserved from urban development speculation, and a few kilometres from the towns of Begur and Palafrugell, which offer the best beaches on the Costa Brava. The border with France is 68 kilometres away.
Pals, with a little more than 2,800 inhabitants, has three centres: The Medieval Village of Pals, Los Massos de Pals and the Beach of Pals.
The Medieval Village of Pals is situated on a hilltop, from where there is a magnificent view of the Empordà. It is one of the most interesting towns in the region due to the variety of its landscape and the richness of its heritage.
When we reach Pals beach we can enjoy one of the longest and most spectacular beaches on the Costa Brava. Formed by dunes of fine sand and pine trees, it is more than 3.5 km long and has magnificent views over the Medes Islands.
In Pals you will find all kinds of shops for basic purchases, such as fish shops, butchers, cake shops, supermarkets, bakeries, chemist's, tobacconists... and others like florists, souvenirs... and also all kinds of cultural, leisure and sports services (golf, tennis...) and gastronomy (bars and restaurants)...
Near Pals we find the limes and paths of Begur, the coves of Palafrugell, and charming medieval style villages such as Peratallada, Canapost, Monells, Palau-sator or Cruïlles and the spectacular Marine Reserve of the Medes Islands
